CDN Nodes

Content Delivery Nodes (CDNs) are the backbone of the dCDN architecture, responsible for managing and distributing digital content efficiently across a decentralized network. Each dCDN node is equipped with essential modules that enhance its functionality:

  • Content Storage Module

    • Stores static and dynamic content, such as images, videos, and applications, ensuring quick access for users.

  • Data Processing Module

    • Handles encoding, transcoding, and caching of content to optimize delivery based on user requests and network conditions

  • Load Balancing Module

    • Distributes incoming traffic evenly across multiple nodes, preventing overload on any single node and ensuring reliable performance.

  • Communication Module

    • Facilitates interactions between nodes and the overall network, allowing for the sharing of resources, status updates, and content availability.

  • Monitoring and Reporting Module

    • Tracks performance metrics, such as latency, bandwidth usage, and error rates, to ensure high-quality service and enable proactive maintenance.
