CDN Nodes
Content Delivery Nodes (CDNs) are the backbone of the dCDN architecture, responsible for managing and distributing digital content efficiently across a decentralized network. Each dCDN node is equipped with essential modules that enhance its functionality:
Content Storage Module
Stores static and dynamic content, such as images, videos, and applications, ensuring quick access for users.
Data Processing Module
Handles encoding, transcoding, and caching of content to optimize delivery based on user requests and network conditions
Load Balancing Module
Distributes incoming traffic evenly across multiple nodes, preventing overload on any single node and ensuring reliable performance.
Communication Module
Facilitates interactions between nodes and the overall network, allowing for the sharing of resources, status updates, and content availability.
Monitoring and Reporting Module
Tracks performance metrics, such as latency, bandwidth usage, and error rates, to ensure high-quality service and enable proactive maintenance.
